World Literacy Day Assembly – Std. I & Std. II

The students of Std. I and Std. II conducted a special assembly to commemorate World Literacy Day on Tuesday, September 08, 2026. The assembly aimed to highlight the importance of literacy and education and their role in enriching our lives. The assembly commenced with the School Hymn, followed by an introduction emphasising the significance of literacy in empowering individuals and communities.
The Thought for the Day reinforced the idea that every literate person has the power to contribute to positive change in the world. Students also shared interesting facts about World Literacy Day and highlighted the importance of reading, writing and lifelong learning. A melodious medley of English, Hindi and Kannada songs was presented by the students, beautifully showcasing how language and music can bring people together. The students participated with great enthusiasm and confidence throughout the assembly. The programme concluded with an inspiring message that literacy empowers us to read, learn, think and grow, leaving the students with a deeper appreciation of the value of education and lifelong learning.
