Student Clubs

Time is set aside every week for students to pursue their areas of interest and further hone their skills. Specialist teachers along with faculty from Mitra Academy together provide training and exposure.

Art & Craft Club

This club provides opportunities to students to creatively experiment with colours, textures and techniques.

Calligraphy Club

A beautiful and an artistic handwriting reflects one’s personality. The club besides encouraging students acquire a skill, also sharpens their focus.

Chess Club

The Chess Club caters to enhance the reasoning and logical thinking of students besides helping them develop their power of concentration.

Cookery Club

This club provides an opportunity to students to experiment with recipes that involve fireless cooking and baking. They look forward to preparing healthy/lip smacking snacks every week all by themselves.

Dance Club

Dance is an art form, an expression of the soul, through pure body movements set to music, beat and rhythm. It not only trains a person to focus and concentrate but also to be flexible. This is what the children learn through dance and apply to life.

Fitness Club

The Fitness Club provides lessons in physical fitness which are an important component of wellness. The club focuses on activities like dance, aerobics, yoga, laughter therapy, physical fitness, nutritional facts, good dietary habits and a healthy attitude towards work and play.

Jewellery Making Club

This club brings out the artistic side of the students as they learn how to make jewellery with the materials provided, using different techniques.

Life Skills Club

We understand that it is important for students to exhibit well-groomed behaviour outside home and school. Students are taught the nuances of etiquette in their formative years.

Music Club

Music is associated with sound, pitch, harmony and rhythm. Its an important part of every child’s life. Anything that sounds good is said to be “music to the ears”. The aim of the music club is to help students develop ‘a ear for music’, keep to rhythm, tune and sing in unison with the others. This helps them develop the spirit of “team” and “togetherness”. Trained by qualified musicians, the music club tries to achieve this with not only Indian music but with western music as well. This helps develop the inter-cultural concept as well.

Needle Craft Club

As part of life skills, students who opt for this club learn different types of needlecrafts including knitting and crochet.

Quick Fix Club

The Quickfix Club focuses on enhancement of life skills. It includes home improvement and DIY repair, in short Basic Vocational Training.

Quiz Club

The world around us is full of fascinating things. The young minds are ever eager to know how, why, when, where and what of everything that interests them. With this in mind the Quiz Club endeavours to encourage every child to develop his/her power of observation and also sharpen his/her power of thinking. Inter House Quiz Competition are regularly conducted regularly.

Robotics Club

The Robotics Club is a hobby group that aims to teach and help students understand the seemingly incomprehensible electronic gadgets in the world today and also assists them in developing their own devices.

Science Club

The Science Club conducts various activities and competitions to help students gain self-confidence and to enable them to channelise their energy and knowledge. It also gives an opportunity to students to develop their scientific aptitude and exploration through experimentation and nature study makes science interesting. Science exhibition showcasing children’s work is put up every year.

Theatre Club

Theatre Club conducts various activities such as recitation, storytelling and reading of self-written work. Most of this is done through dramatization where in students are required to rewrite a story as a play and enact it. Bring alive a story during the reading session by modulation, information and dramatization. These help them develop their theatrical skills and put forth their thoughts and ideas on stage.
