‘Read & Speak: Book Talk Time’ – Show & Speak Activity – UKG

The ‘Read & Speak: Book Talk Time’ Show & Speak Activity for UKG children was conducted with prior information shared with parents to send their child’s favourite book. The session began with a discussion on the importance of reading, followed by simple rules to ensure respectful listening and participation. One by one, they confidently came forward to show their book and speak about why they liked it and when they received it. Teachers appreciated each child’s effort and encouraged attentive listening. The activity provided a meaningful platform for self-expression, helping children build confidence, enhance speaking skills and develop a love for reading.
