Picnic to Grameen Camp – Std. I & II

School picnic provides a great opportunity for the students to cherish wonderful experiences and face a range of challenges that can contribute significantly to their personal development. To make it true, a one day outing amidst nature was planned for the students of Std. II on Tuesday, March 07, 2023 and Std.I on Thursday, March 09, 2023. Located in Nelamangala surrounded by lush greenery, Grameen Camp Gave the students an opportunity to learn and experience village life right in the lap of nature.
With the bags packed with snacks and hearts packed with excitement, the students started from the school in the morning. On reaching the venue, the children enthusiastically explored the alluring beauty and bounties of nature. After a scrumptious breakfast, the students were divided into groups based on the different coloured bands given to them and each team was involved in different activities , some of them were taken around the herbal garden and were enlightened about medicinal plants and organic farming, others were engaged in activities like pottery making at Madake mane, Channapatna toy making and pounding, churning butter milk, etc. Not to forget the bumpy tractor ride around Grammen camp. Students relished the hearty lunch served at Grameen camp. The trip to Grameen camp was a great way of learning through nature. End of the day, the students and teachers left the place taking with them memories of truly what was an enriching learning experience.
