Onam Special Assembly – Std. III to V

Onam is a harvest festival that marks the return of the legendary King Mahabali to the state of Kerala. The festival falls in the first month of the Malayalam calendar, Chingam, between August and September and is celebrated for ten days with feasting, boat races, songs and dances.
To highlight the significance of Onam and promote the spirit of love, harmony and unity, the students of Std. IV conducted a special assembly for the Upper Primary students on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. The performance was a visual treat for the audience, featuring a traditional folk song and an energetic dance that beautifully captured the essence of the celebration.
Ms. Neetu Jacob, delivered a speech about the significance of Onam, emphasizing the values of respect for diversity and the importance of sharing. The program concluded with a vote of thanks.
