‘Onam Special Assembly’ – Std. I & II

The Onam Special Assembly was organised on Monday, September 04, 2023 by the students of Std I and II. The festival commemorated Lord Vishnu and the homecoming of king Mahabali. The main aim of the assembly was to make the students understand the importance of the Onam festival. The assembly started with the school prayer, following which the students read the quote and a few facts on the importance of the harvest festival – Onam. The festival of Onam is dedicated to King Mahabali who sacrificed himself along with his kingdom in order to stand true to his words. It was followed by a group song and Onam traditional dance. The students understood the significance of the Onam festival and the value of festivals.
