National Road Safety Assembly – Std. I & II

A special assembly on Road Safety was conducted to help students understand the importance of following traffic rules and staying safe on the road. The assembly began with an introduction and the Thought for the Day, “Safety is a habit—start young and stay safe!”.Students were made aware of essential road safety rules, including the proper use of traffic lights, zebra crossings, footpaths and the importance of wearing helmets and seat belts. These rules were effectively reinforced through a student role play titled “Road Safety with Tia & Tofu,” which showcased correct and incorrect road behaviours in an engaging manner. An action song, “Red Light, Red Light,” added a fun element while helping students remember traffic signals. The teacher concluded the assembly by stressing the importance of road safety and encouraging students to follow these rules in their daily life. The assembly ended with a Road Safety Pledge, where students promised to follow traffic rules and ensure their own safety as well as that of others.
The assembly was informative, engaging and successful in instilling essential road safety values among the students.
