Krishna Janmashtami Special Assembly – Std. I & II

Janmashtami is celebrated as a special day to mark the birth of Lord Krishna the the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. It is celebrated on the eighth day (Ashtami) of the Krishna paksha in the month of Shravana of the lunar hindu calendar. Janmashtami was celebrated by the students of Std I and II on Friday, August 23, 2024, with mirth and joy. This special assembly signified excitement, euphoria and a joyous spirit of enthrallment. It brought devotion, creativity, enjoyment and fun all together. The students came dressed up as Lord Krishna, Radha, playmates and friends of Krishna’s childhood. They were accessorised with colourful bangles, odhnis and peacock crowns to set the Janmashtami mood. The assembly began with the thought for the day followed by the significance of celebrating this day , a few facts, and a song which praised the virtues and deeds of Lord Krishna, the most powerful avatar of Lord Vishnu. Children enjoyed listening to the song and later they witnessed an excellent dance performance. Children were provided with an excellent crown making activity which proved to be a platform to display their creativity. The decorations and celebration filled the air with joy and festive spirit.
