Kannada Rajyotsava Special Assembly – Std. I & II
Kannada Rajyotsava, also known as Karnataka Formation Day or Karnataka Day, is celebrated on November 1st every year. This day commemorates the formation of Karnataka in 1956 when all the Kannada language-speaking regions of southwestern India were merged to form the state of Karnataka. To raise awareness of Karnataka’s culture and heritage, the students of Std.I and Std.II held a special assembly on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. The assembly aimed to help students understand the importance of Kannada Rajyotsava and to highlight the importance of the rich language of our state. The importance of the day was shared through informative facts and by a thematic talk. Students also presented the ‘Thought for the Day’ followed by a Kannada song and a lively dance. The assembly concluded with the State Anthem, celebrating Karnataka’s unity and cultural pride.
