International Yoga Day – Std. VI to X
Mitra Academy observed the International Yoga Day with great fervour, instilling a sense of responsibility towards the physical and mental well-being of self.
The school organised a special assembly comprising of a yoga display and a yoga themed dance to mark the day. All students,guided by the yoga instructor Ms. Asha participated in the simple yoga exercises to improve memory and to overcome stress.
Ms. Asha threw light on the importance of practicing yoga in our daily life. She emphasised that yoga is the rhythm of the body, the melody of the mind, the harmony of the soul, and the symphony of life and its significance is beyond immediate physical well-being.
The event sought to stimulate the students to embrace yoga with its various aspects to enrich their life, be in harmony with nature and spread positivity around.
