Field Trip to Namma Bengaluru Aquarium – Std. I
An exciting and enriching field trip was organised for the students of Std I on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 and Thursday, June 25, 2026 to the Namma Bengaluru Aquarium on Kasturba Road, nestled amidst the lush greenery of Cubbon Park, Bengaluru. Popularly known as Bangalore Aquarium, it is the second-largest aquarium in India and is home to a fascinating collection of freshwater, tropical, ornamental and cultivable fish. The young learners were delighted by the vibrant display of aquatic life showcased in beautifully maintained aquariums. They observed a variety of fish in different shapes, sizes and colours, gaining valuable insights into the diversity of the underwater world. One of the highlights of the visit was the opportunity to touch and closely observe a starfish, which sparked great excitement and curiosity among the children. This hands-on experience encouraged them to appreciate the unique features and adaptations of various aquatic creatures.
More than just a recreational outing, the field trip served as a meaningful experiential learning experience. It fostered curiosity, keen observation, adaptability, resilience and effective communication as students explored a new environment and interacted with their peers. The visit also nurtured a sense of wonder and respect for nature and marine life.
