Field Trip to Institute of Wood Science and Technology (IWST) – Std. VII

As a part of educational trips that take learning, outside the classroom, to the real-world, students of grade VII got the opportunity to visit the Institute of Wood Science and Technology (IWST), Malleswaram on 16th and 17th of June 2025.
The day was filled with enthusiasm and learning as students delved into the intricacies of sandalwood harvesting and silviculture management. Their visit to the Woods Museum cum Interpretation Centre and the Advanced Woodworking Training Center expanded their understanding, encouraging critical thinking and offering a comprehensive view of wood technology, processing, and sustainable forest management. Embracing their role as conscientious citizens, the children committed to safeguarding, preserving, and nurturing the environment.
