Field Trip to Institute of Wood Science and Technology (IWST) – Std. VII

As a part of educational trips that take learning, outside the classroom, to the real-world, students of grade VII got the opportunity to visit the Institute of Wood Science and Technology (IWST), Malleswaram on 10th and 11th of July 2024.
It was a day of excitement and information . Students understood the process of sandalwood harvesting and silviculture management.They also visited Woods Museum cum Interpretation Centre and Advanced Woodworking Training Center, which broadened their perspectives, fostered critical thinking and gave them a deeper insight into wood technology, processing and silviculture management. As responsible citizens of India, children pledged to save, protect and nurture the environment.
