Field Trip to General Post Office (GPO) – Std. I

Mitra Academy School, Arekere organized A field trip for Std I students on Thursday, June 27, 2024, and Friday June 28, 2024, to the General Post Office (GPO) located at Raj Bhavan Road, Ambedkar Veedhi, Bengaluru-560001. Students were accompanied by their respective class teachers and support staff.
The students were excited to understand the outlook and working of a Post Office. The students were briefed by the Assistant Chief Officer about the Post office, different services offered, and different types of letters used for communication. The Officer also requested the students to take postcards, complete them and post them to their families and friends.
The educational tour emphasized on learning new things and appreciating the Community Helpers. Students appreciated the hard work put in by the employees of the GPO. It enhanced their sense of responsibility in the society they live in.
Overall, it was a very exciting day for students along with experiential learning.
