Dr Kalam’s Day – UP

In celebration of the late aerospace scientist, educator and former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s birth anniversary, World Students Day 2023 is observed on October 15 each year. Each year, a national holiday is observed in India to honour Dr.Kalam for his contributions to education and students. As “People’s President,” Dr.Kalam is cherished throughout history and his birthday is celebrated as Students’ Day. The birthday of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was celebrated in the assembly on Thursday, October 26, 2023 by the students of the Upper Primary section. The aim of this assembly was to make the students understand the significance of this day and acknowledge the valuable contributions of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. The assembly commenced with the school prayer, an inspiring thought, news, students talk about the contributions of the peoples’ President and a role play. A teacher too gave a talk on the significance and the importance of celebrating the birthday of Dr. Abdul Kalam. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem.
