‘Design a Book Cover Activity’ – Std. I & II

The proverb says, “You can’t judge a book by its cover.” A Book Cover Making Activity was organized for the students of Std I & II on Friday, September 08, 2023 to give the children an opportunity to express their creativity. The teacher explained to the students the different parts of a book and then they designed the cover page for their favourite book. In this activity, students were not judging what is inside the book, but what is on the cover itself. After examining many book covers, students recreated a cover for a selected book; then, they shared their creations with their classmates. Children also developed an interest in Reading and got to know the importance of illustrations and drawings in the story. Children enjoyed the Design a Book Cover Activity.
