Children’s Day – UP
Children’s Day is celebrated across India to increase awareness of the rights, care and education of children. It is celebrated every year as a tribute to the birthday of India’s First Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru. “There is no garden as beautiful as childhood”. A day marking childhood was celebrated with fun and frolic at Mitra Academy. A special assembly was conducted on Wednesday,November 15, 2023 by the teachers of the Upper Primary section. The celebration started with the school prayer followed by the thought for the day, news, weather report and teacher`s talk. A video was shown to the students which had an informative and inspirational speech by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. The following cultural programme had a series of interesting and exciting events, all planned meticulously for complete entertainment. Teachers of the upper primary section enthralled the students with their energetic and graceful moves with their traditional dance, action songs and group singing. Students pulsated with excitement when their teachers performed on stage. The programme concluded with Vani Ma’am’s address to the students. It was a day filled with fun and treats for the children.
