World Literacy Day Assembly – Std. III to Std.V

The Upper Primary Section commemorated International Literacy Day on Tuesday, September 08, 2026, with a special assembly held at the ARA Hall. The celebration highlighted the transformative power of literacy and emphasised that the ability to read, write and learn is a gateway to knowledge, confidence, opportunities and lifelong growth. The assembly commenced with the School Prayer, followed by the Thought for the Day, News and Weather Report, presented confidently by the students. A lively and melodious song added vibrancy to the celebration, creating a joyful atmosphere as the students joined in with great enthusiasm. The highlight of the assembly was the Theme Talk on International Literacy Day, which shed light on the significance of literacy in empowering individuals and contributing to a more informed, capable and progressive society. Students were encouraged to cultivate a love for reading, value the gift of education and recognise that learning extends beyond the classroom and continues throughout life.
