World Senior Citizens’ Day Assembly – Std. III to Std. V

Mitra Academy observed World Senior Citizens Day on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, with a heartfelt celebration honouring the elderly and recognising their invaluable contributions to society. A special assembly was organised as a gesture of gratitude, respect and appreciation for their wisdom, experiences and enduring influence. The assembly featured a meaningful song and a touching poem, encouraging students to understand the importance of caring for and cherishing the elderly. Through the programme, students were inspired to spend quality time with senior citizens, listen to their stories and make them feel valued and loved.
