Pookalam & Smiles: Onam Celebration – KG

The Kindergarten celebrated Onam with joy through a colourful Pookalam activity. The children learned about the significance of Onam and the tradition of creating floral decorations during the festival. They explored different flowers, observing their colours, shapes and fragrances, and carefully separated the petals for the decoration. With guidance from their teachers, the children creatively arranged the petals to create a beautiful Pookalam, appreciating each other’s contributions. The activity nurtured creativity, observation, fine motor skills and an appreciation for cultural traditions, while creating cherished memories of the celebration.
