World Literacy Day & Hindi Diwas Assembly – Std. I & Std. II
The Lower Primary section conducted an assembly to jointly celebrate Hindi Diwas and World Literacy Day on Thursday, September 11, 2025. The programme aimed to create awareness about the importance of our national language Hindi as well as the value of literacy in shaping an enlightened society. The assembly began with School Hymn, followed by a brief introduction about the significance of both Hindi Diwas and World Literacy Day. The assembly also featured “Thought for the Day” followed by some interesting facts on World Literacy day as well as on Hindi Diwas and a medley of English, Kannada and Hindi songs was sung by the students that reminded everyone of the beauty and uniqueness of the language. A video was shown on the importance of literacy and to emphasise that education is the key to progress, equality, and empowerment. The celebration concluded with a beautiful message, carrying that language and literacy are powerful tools that connect people, preserve culture, and strengthen the nation. All this was an effort to make students understand that language and culture of any country plays an important role in making people connect with each other and in making a strong nation. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem leaving the students with a strong message that language is the source of expression of our nation and it is the soul of Indian culture.
