National Sports Day Assembly – Std. I & Std. II

The Lower Primary section of our school celebrated National Sports Day with great enthusiasm and energy on Thursday August 28,2025, to mark the birth anniversary of the legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand.
The assembly began with a school hymn, followed by the Thought for the Day, which highlighted the importance of sports in building discipline, teamwork and fitness. A student shared information on the life and achievements of Major Dhyan Chand, inspiring everyone with his dedication and contribution to Indian hockey.
Students presented a short skit portraying how sports help in character building and developing a healthy lifestyle. An energetic dance performance on the theme of fitness added to the vibrancy of the celebration. The assembly concluded with a motivational message by the sports teacher Mr. Girish, followed by a pledge encouraging students to participate actively in sports and physical activities for their holistic growth.The children also watched the Khelo India Anthem video, which further motivated them to stay active and healthy. Finally, the assembly ended with the National Anthem, leaving everyone inspired to take part in sports and games with joy and spirit.
The celebration not only paid tribute to the Hockey Wizard of India but also served as a reminder that sports are essential for both physical fitness and mental well-being. The assembly was a great success, spreading the spirit of sportsmanship among the young learners.
