Guru Purnima Assembly – Std. I & Std. II
The word “Guru” originates from Sanskrit: “Gu” means darkness, and “Ru” means remover —symbolising a Guru as one who dispels the darkness of ignorance. The students of the Lower Primary section celebrated Guru Purnima on Thursday, July 10, 2025 with great reverence and enthusiasm. The assembly was a heartfelt tribute to teachers who are considered the guiding light in every child’s life. The assembly began with a thought for the day, followed by a few interesting facts on the significance of celebrating Guru Purnima. Students then presented a song and watched a video that praised the virtues and invaluable role of the Guru. The theme talk was delivered by Ms. Manjula who encouraged students to always respect, value and be grateful to their teachers. The assembly concluded with the National anthem.
