Environment Day Special Assembly – Std. VI to Std. X
The assembly began with the school prayer followed by the thought for the day and news headlines. The students presented interesting facts about plastic-pollution. They also presented a dance performance that focussed on conservation of Nature and the necessity to do that. The assembly concluded with Ms Akshatha addressing the gathering by sharing information about the initiatives taken to combat plastic pollution.
On this occasion a team from the Forest Survey of India, Regional Office (South) Bengaluru visited the school to spread awareness about ‘Ending Plastic Pollution’ among children. The team was formally welcomed by our Principal, Vani Ma’am with a sapling. The team then presented a PPT to enlighten the audience with the steps taken to contain pollution especially created by the use of plastic. The team concluded the presentation with an interesting video on the same topic.
