Children’s Day Special Assembly – Std. III to V

Children’s Day is celebrated across India to raise awareness about the rights, care and education of children. This special day is observed every year as a tribute to the birthday of India’s First Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru.
“There is no garden as beautiful as childhood”. In keeping with this sentiment, Mitra Academy celebrated the day with joy and enthusiasm. A special assembly for the students of Std. III to Std. V was conducted on November 14, 2024 by the teachers of the Upper Primary Section. A power packed programme was specially arranged for the children. Teachers showcased a variety of performances especially for the students. The day focused on children and their enjoyment.
The celebration began with the school prayer followed by the thought for the day, news, the weather report, a teacher`s talk and a video about Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. A vibrant cultural program was organised featuring songs, dances and skits. The students were thrilled to see their teachers perform, and their joy and excitement lit up the ARA Hall, making the celebration truly memorable.
The programme concluded with the address by the Principal and the Headmistress followed by the National Anthem.
