International Yoga Day Special Assembly – Std. I & II

The International Yoga Day is celebrated every year on June 21st to raise awareness worldwide about the benefits of Yoga in daily life. This idea was proposed by our Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi. He said, “Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfillment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. International Yoga Day assembly was conducted by the students of the Lower Primary section on Friday, June 21, 2024 with great enthusiasm. The assembly began with the school hymn, followed by the ‘thought for the day’ and a few facts on benefits of practising yoga. A few students of Std II showcased some asanas. The importance of practising yoga in daily life was explained simultaneously. Regular practice of yoga will surely help the students to remain fit and improve concentration.
