‘National Science Day’ – UP

National Science Day is celebrated in India on 28th February each year to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by the Indian physicist Sir C. V. Raman on February 28, 1928. With an Indian scientist becoming the first Asian to receive the Nobel Prize in any branch of science, it was a significant milestone for Indian science. Along with vindicating India’s scientific prowess, it placed India on the global scientific map. It is also a day to celebrate the valuable contributions and sacrifices made by the scientists in our country for the development of science and technology. With the theme of “Indigenous Technologies for Viksit Bharat“, the students were all set to celebrate National Science Day 2024 on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, and spread a message about the importance of science in the life of people. The assembly commenced with the school prayer, thought for the day and the weather report. It was followed by a narration of a few facts, a talk on National Science Day and a video on the biography of Sir C.V Raman. In the theme talk, the meaning of the Raman effect was explained to the students. The students enjoyed the assembly and it concluded with a quote on being positive in life.
