Army Day – UP

Army Day is celebrated on 15 January every year in India, to commemorate the taking over of celebrated Lieutenant General KM Cariappa as Commander-in-Chief of the Indian forces. He took over from the last English commander of our nation’s army after India got freedom from British rule. To salute the Indian army, the students of the Upper Primary section conducted a special assembly to pay homage to the indomitable guardians of our frontiers. The students presented their thoughts and a few facts about the Indian Army. The choir sang an enthralling patriotic song of their valour and bravery. On the whole, army day was celebrated in the school campus with extreme patriotism.
